Ready Player One is a book filled with 80s nostalgia and has a classic science fiction feel. I wanted to capture that old school techno vibe in the cover. Much thanks to this video for helping me carry out my vision.

The main character in this book has two prominent traits: he is a brainiac, and he's a hopeless romantic. I wanted to represent who he is with this cover. In the book, there are 19 Katherines. To represent this, I layered 19 "Katherines" on top of one another.

I first read this book in the third grade, and it became a favorite of mine from there on out. I thought this would be the perfect book to kick off this project. I chose the rabbit as a representation of a rainbow rabbit that a character keeps as a pet. This book is very whimsical and I wanted to capture that in the cover.
